Originally from Bois-Francs, Nicole Lemieux has lived in Quebec City for over 30 years. This artist has a real passion for working with terracotta. Graduated with a bachelor's degree in Visual Arts, as well as a 2nd bachelor's degree in Art History, she was in search of an artistic achievement that could channel her manual skills. It was when I entered a ceramics school that it was love at first sight. The work of this material allowed him to create numerous sculptures, of format varying from  8 in to 8 ft. - The possibilities of this material are infinite for her. The topics covered are among others  ecology, edification through reading, needy hands, genetics etc.

Spheres, ovoids, ribbons, readers, hands, capsules offer enveloping and sensual sculptures. She favors white in symbiosis with the great Nordic spaces, very present in our country.

Various materials have been added over the years, such as:  stainless steel, copper, glass, wood, acrylic etc ...

Nicole Lemieux has exhibited on numerous occasions and won several awards.  She taught for several years  working with clay.

His works can be seen at the Beauchamp gallery, in Quebec, in the studio and on our website.
